King Asia Foods celebrates 40 years by sponsoring Medium Business of the Year at the Doncaster Business Awards

King Asia Foods Ltd, a long-standing member of Doncaster Chamber and a cornerstone of the UK’s oriental and world foods sector, is marking its 40th anniversary by sponsoring the Medium Business of the Year category at the 2025 Doncaster Business Awards.
Since opening its doors in 1985, King Asia has grown from a small family run enterprise into one of the UK’s most respected food manufacturers, supplying a wide range of high-quality products, including Mayflower Brand of Meals and Sauces, to supermarkets, foodservice providers and manufacturers across Great Britain, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Over the past four decades, the business has remained committed to its founding principles of passion, trust, innovation, determination and excellence, values that continue to drive the company forward today.
Sponsoring the Medium Business of the Year category is a natural fit for King Asia, whose own journey reflects the challenges and triumphs of scaling a business in a competitive market. The award celebrates companies that have achieved sustained growth, demonstrated strong leadership and contributed to the region’s economic success. By supporting this category, King Asia is helping to shine a light on the outstanding achievements of Doncaster’s business community.
This partnership with Doncaster Chamber not only commemorates King Asia’s remarkable milestone but also reflects its belief in giving back to the local economy that has supported its success. It underlines the company’s commitment to strengthening the business landscape in Doncaster and across South Yorkshire, fostering a culture where collaboration, innovation and community spirit can thrive.
Jade Dyer, Chief Operating Officer at Doncaster Chamber of Commerce comments: “We are delighted to have King Asia Foods on board as a sponsor for the Doncaster Business Awards in such a landmark year for their business. For four decades, they have been a shining example of how a Doncaster-based company can grow from humble beginnings into a market leader while still staying true to its roots.
“Their decision to support the Medium Business of the Year category reflects the values we champion at the Chamber – celebrating excellence, encouraging growth and strengthening the bonds within our business community. Partnerships like this are vital in ensuring our region continues to thrive.”
So Fong, Director at King Asia, notes: “The Doncaster Chamber provides a strong and influential voice for local businesses, including Kingasia Foods, which makes the decision to support the Chamber by sponsoring an award an easy one. By doing so, we’re not only giving back to the business community, but also helping to celebrate and highlight the achievements of others.
Being part of the Chamber also gives us the opportunity to connect with like-minded businesses, share experiences, and encourage one another as we all work towards building a stronger, more successful Doncaster.”
The Doncaster Business Awards, taking place on Thursday 11 December 2025, is the largest business awards ceremony in the region, attracting hundreds of guests from across South Yorkshire. It is a night dedicated to celebrating excellence, providing valuable networking opportunities and highlighting the very best of the area’s entrepreneurial talent.
Through its sponsorship, King Asia joins other leading organisations in supporting this important celebration of business success. From creating jobs and developing innovative new products to supporting sustainable practices and building lasting partnerships, King Asia continues to play a key role in the region’s growth story and its 40th anniversary is the perfect occasion to reaffirm that commitment.
