South Yorkshire LSIP Project Co-ordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced economic development professional — with knowledge of the employment & skills landscape — to manage the delivery of the South Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP).
This important document was initially published back in August and we are now looking to ensure that its various practical recommendations are implemented effectively. The subsequent activity will improve the delivery of employer focused skills provision across the entire region.
Suffice it to say, this is a vital project for South Yorkshire, as we aim to reshape our economy for future growth by providing our businesses with what they need to be productive and successful, and our people with the skills they need to prosper.
The project coordinator will provide day-to-day operational management of the LSIP project but will also have the knowledge, ability and gravitas to work across strategic stakeholders and delivery partners to achieve success.
The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, proven and demonstrable project management experience, and a firm grasp of the wider strategic context of skills and employment delivery. Doncaster Chamber is lead Employer Representative Body (ERB) for delivery of the contract but the post holder will work closely with neighbouring Chambers in the region as well.
Joining our dynamic team presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact across South Yorkshire.
The post is offered on a fixed term contract basis until 30th June 2025.

Please apply by CV and covering letter. Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis with a closing date for applications of Monday 18th December 2023. Interviews will take place in early January 2024.
