Doncaster Chamber is proud to support the launch of the new Mayoral Business Advisory Group, a major step forward that will see the city’s business leaders working in partnership with the Mayor and Cabinet to shape Doncaster’s economic future.

The Group will be chaired by Doncaster Chamber Chief Executive Dan Fell MBE and will bring together up to 20 influential voices from across Doncaster’s private, education, infrastructure, and voluntary sectors. Members will offer expert insight, constructive challenge, and collaborative leadership to support the city’s growth and regeneration plans.

“This is about putting business at the heart of the conversation,” said Dan Fell MBE, Chief Executive of Doncaster Chamber. “Not just as participants but as partners of equals helping to guide the borough’s economic strategy. With the right challenge and collaboration, we can make sure local employers are shaping the future to match Doncaster’s ambition.”

The Mayoral Business Advisory Group will meet every two months and provide a strategic link between the business community and public leaders. It will support key priorities including:

  • The reopening of Doncaster Sheffield Airport

  • Regeneration of the city and town centres

  • Inclusive and sustainable economic development

The Group will also promote diverse representation, ensuring that voices from different sectors, communities, and experiences are reflected in the city’s plans.

Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said:

“This is a unique opportunity for business leaders to help shape the future of Doncaster. The launch of our new Business Advisory Group marks an important step in making sure Doncaster’s future is shaped by those who know it best – our local business community.
