Opportunity To Join Our Board of Directors

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Board of Directors. On your behalf, this group works to ensure that the Chamber is run effectively by providing leadership, governance, oversight and assurance.

They are elected by our members, at which point they serve three years as non-executive directors (NEDs). Once that term comes to an end, new candidates can put themselves forward for the voluntary role, while the outgoing board members have a chance to seek re-election. Such is the case right now, as there will soon be an opening on the board.

 

As long as you are already in a senior role at your company, have experience of running a businesses, and are a member of the Chamber, then you are eligible to apply.

If you want to help us fulfil our ambitious, achieve our strategic goals and amplify the voice of our members at the highest level, then this is a great opportunity for you.

 

To apply, interested candidates should email ENorton@doncaster-chamber.co.uk to request the relevant forms. These include a brief statement (on why you want to be a NED and what your priorities would be in the role) and a collection of signatures (from senior representatives of 5 Chamber businesses) in support of your candidacy.

Both forms will need to be completed by midday on 18th October. Following this, all members will be able to vote for their preferred candidate in November, before they are appointed at our AGM in December.
