Peter will discuss the proposed rail link to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, possible changes to Doncaster’s Trans-Pennine and Cross Country train services, Tram Train, Northern Powerhouse Rail, HS2 including a South Yorkshire Parkway station and some other topical issues.
There’s been a step change in the way that the LEP wants to engage with businesses on transport matters and they are in listening mode. This is a prime opportunity to engage with these issues and influence them to enable better working and learning opportunities for you, your colleagues and customers.
Peter is keen to ensure businesses' views from across the Sheffield City Region are heard and understood. He will use your feedback from the discussion to inform the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, Transport for the North and British Chambers of Commerce to ensure you and your stakeholders benefit.
Tea/coffee and pastries will be served. Please arrive at 7:45am to be seated for 8:00am.
Peter is working with the executive team at Sheffield City Region (through his roles at the LEP and TfN) to put together a response to the Williams Rail Review. He is keen to ensure that SCR LEP reflects the true feeling of business on the ground. Rail businesses who are Doncaster Chamber members are invited to contact Peter directly with their response to the six headings documented here. Email Peter Kennan
