• Andy Ryder, Corporate Finance Partner of Shorts Chartered Accountants

  Andy has over 15 years’ Corporate Finance experience. He has extensive knowledge of business acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts/ buyins and fundraising across a range of sectors and deal sizes, from <£1m up to £50m.

• Andy Booth International Trade Director at HSBC and Liam Penfield Director of Business Development HSBC

  Andy has worked at HSBC for around 20 years. Now in the role of Corporate Development Director Andy specialises in International Trade. Over his years working for HSBC he has gained experience in completing MBO’s, acquisitions, cash out transactions and refinancing

  Liam has worked in Commercial and Corporate Banking for both RBS and HSBC for around 20 years. As Corporate Development Director, Liam has a focus on receivable finance (invoice finance.) He has significant experience in completing complex refinancing, MBO’s, acquisitions and cash out transactions for business owners.

• David Robinson Tax Director at Shorts Chartered Accountants

  A qualified Chartered Tax Adviser with over 10 years’ experience in the profession, David joined Shorts having previously worked for national firms including BDO and RSM. David has significant experience advising growing owner managed businesses on all aspects of taxation including; acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations and exit planning.

• John Baddeley, Director at Wake Smith

  John Baddeley has over 30 years’ experience and is a member of Wake Smith’s management board. His main areas of work are Corporate transactional work advising buyers, sellers and funders, licensing of intellectual property, IT Contracts and Commercial Agreements.
