Staff at Yorkshire Wildlife Park are gearing up for a busy Christmas and are hoping for record sales over the popular Black Friday weekend.
The award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park is reporting a rise in gifting experience presents such as VIP, Experience Vouchers and Annual Passes as customers increasingly seek out gifts with a difference.
VIP Behind the Scenes visits make unique presents, especially for those who are difficult to buy for! These include the Polar Bear experience where guests are able to get up close and personal with the four polar bears at YWP – the only ones in England.
After helping with breakfast for Victor, Pixel, Nissan and Nobby, the experience includes a delicious breakfast in the Safari Café. Other options are the VIP Carnivore Experience meeting many of the carnivores on the Park and the Alternative Big 5 Experience with close access to Giraffes, Big Cats, Rhinos and Polar Bears.
If you want something for the whole family to get involved in this Christmas, why not buy the gift of the ‘VIP Behind the Scenes Tour’. The two hour tour gives a real insight into the world of YWP and many of the other animals.
There are also shorter meet the animal experiences with 3 options which allows meeting the lemurs or wallabies or meerkats up close and learning all about them from one of our knowledgeable rangers. These experiences are £50 per person, including park day admission and can also be purchased as a voucher.
The £70 per person (including day admission) VIP experience list is continuing to grow, as this year a new Giraffe and Camel experience has been introduced which is an opportunity to get up close and personal with the park’s giraffes and Bactrian Camels. The other experiences in this category are Giant Otters, Painted Dogs and a South America experience that includes Saki Monkeys, Armadillos and Anteaters.
For those who live within easy access of YWP, an annual pass makes a great gift with all year round access. An adult pass is £65 and benefits include unlimited entry all year round from date of purchase and an exclusive 10% discount off food. There is also the option to gift a one-off day admission.
The park’s Safari Store offers a wide range of unusual cuddly toys which can be sent in the post and start from just £4.99. From Okapi’s to Meerkats, the selection of animals represents just some of the animals at the park and make an easy and fun present for someone you love.
The park's gift selection isn’t just designed with younger family members in mind- the afternoon teas at YWP are delicious and can make a great gift for a Grandparent or Mum and Dad, with options for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Prices start at just £12.95 per adult and can also be bought as vouchers.

There are 8 animal adoptions available: Amur Leopards, Amur Tigers, Lemurs, Meerkats, Giraffes, Painted Dogs, Lions and Polar Bears. The £45 package includes a cuddly toy, a personal adoption certificate, a photograph of the animal, two free entry passes and 10% discount voucher off an annual pass. For every adoption purchased a donation will be made to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation, giving the gift that extra feel good factor.
Chris added: "There really is a huge variety of gifts available suitable for all ages.
