Take part in virtual challenge Active Teams to help young people become happier and healthierMay 15, 2019
Would you like to be more physically active, but don’t know how? Or maybe you struggle to find the time? Perhaps you can’t find the motivation?
Active Fusion, a charity based in Doncaster striving to improve the health and wellbeing of young people across South Yorkshire, has launched virtual challenge Active Teams.
We challenge you to take part in any physical activity you enjoy every weekday in July for 20, 40 or 60 minutes. Take part alongside your colleagues or enter as an individual and see just how many minutes you can build up.
You can enter for free and try to gain sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues or you can opt to receive a medal and/or t-shirt upon completion of the challenge to make a direct donation to Active Fusion.
You’ll be part of an online community where you can log your physical activity and support and encourage other Active Teams participants on their journey.
Young people across the region are struggling with deteriorating levels of physical and mental health. Active Fusion strives to challenge this by delivering Physical Education in schools, training teachers to become more competent and confident in the teaching of physical activity, through giving young adults employment opportunities through sports apprenticeships and much more.
