Doncaster Chamber members are invited to the inaugural Transport for the North Conference in Sheffield on Monday 11 February 2019.

The inaugural conference will mark the first time the North has come together to outline their vision for the future. The conference will include programmes featured in the Strategic Transport Plan, which is their blueprint for how transport will play a defining role in rebalancing the national economy, improving peoples’ quality of life, and enabling their towns and cities to thrive. They'll be outlining their plans for road, freight, international connectivity, smart travel and rail, including their single biggest programme; Northern Powerhouse Rail.

There’s also an opportunity to attend panel sessions to hear from politicians and leading experts about how strategic investment in transport could generate almost £100bn increase in GVA and 850,000 jobs in the North by 2050, and how Northern Powerhouse Rail will bring our towns and cities closer together.

The event itself will open at 10am for a prompt 10.30am start, and will finish at 4.15pm. They would also be grateful if you could register for your preferred breakout sessions in advance.
