Doncaster Chamber in the running for national ‘Chamber of the Year’ award.
Doncaster Chamber has finalised for Chamber of the Year at the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) annual business awards.
The prestigious awards night celebrates the best of business from across the UK whilst also shining a light on the most impact Chambers in the network. To be shortlisted for ‘Chamber of the Year’ recognises the exemplary service delivered by Doncaster Chamber to support the growth and prosperity of the local business community in Doncaster and the wider region.
“Through consultation, lobbying, business support, events and community engagement, we are at the heart of getting things done for business,” says Dan Fell, CEO, Doncaster Chamber.
“Last year Doncaster chamber won the BCC ‘Most Effective Campaigning’ award, to be shortlisted again against other UK Chambers for the Chamber of the Year award is testament to the hard work, skill and dedication of all Chamber staff and directors for their service to business members and the wider community. Our vision is to be the best Chamber in the UK, as we believe that this is the scale of ambition that Doncaster’s business community and economy deserves.”
Doncaster’s Chamber of the Year award entry highlighted how the not-for-profit organisation serves over 700 business members and their 60K employees and also the role that it plays – working closely with key strategic partners – in driving forward the development of Doncaster and making it one of the fastest growing economies in the UK.
The national winners will be announced at the 2019 British Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 28 November in London.
