DN businesses raise funds for Active FusionMarch 26, 2019Firms that participated in the Doncaster Business Insight Survey Q1 2019 have raised £159 for local charity, Active Fusion, to engage more young people in physical activity across South Yorkshire and beyond.
Each quarter, for every survey taken by a business with a DN postcode, Doncaster Chamber donates £1 to a chosen member charity.
The funds raised during the latest survey have been earmarked to support a young person with special educational needs who has volunteered for Active Fusion during every holiday Sport Camp for three years and had an impact on the lives of 1000's of local young people.
Says Lindsy James, Director, Active Fusion: “He is an amazing individual; a great role model with such a positive attitude. We would like to use the money to contribute to his professional development to support him on his journey to become a fully qualified coach.”
Doncaster Chamber will present the money to the charity during the Doncaster Business Insight Breakfast Briefing, sponsored by ProAktive, on Thursday 4 April, from 7:45am to 9:30am, at the Best Western Premier Doncaster Mount Pleasant Hotel.
Business people are invited to hear the results of the latest Doncaster business survey as well as a keynote speech and panel discussion on how businesses are working to ‘future proof’ themselves during these changing economic, political and environmental times.
