The park, in Branton, near Doncaster, has an array of exciting gifts and experiences to offer, perfect for people of all ages.
YWP is offering a fantastic and unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the Ussuri brown bears, impossible anywhere else in the country.
The three Ussuri brown bears, Riku, Kai and Hanako were rescued from a museum in Japan where they were being kept in inappropriate conditions. The VIP Brown Bear Experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the park’s new residents and spend two hours with one of the animal rangers who care for the bears and has been working with them at the Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre.
There are plenty of other exciting gifts of experiences for visitors to get even closer to some of the world’s most beautiful and endangered species.
Guests have the chance to come face-to-face with the country’s only Polar Bears in the VIP Polar Bear Experience and The Alternative Big 5 Experience which also allows guests to encounter giraffes, big cats, rhinos and enjoy a big breakfast at the Safari Cafe.
“Our Animal Experiences are incredible opportunities for the public to get even closer to some of the world’s endangered animals and learn more about their fascinating lives and the work we are doing to help save their species. They’re perfect presents for animal lovers this Christmas,” said Simon Marsh, Animal Manager of the park.
“The VIP Brown Bear Experience is particularly special this year as it is a brand new opportunity for people to see our bears face-to-face.”
YWP also offers adoption packs, which enable people to adopt their favourite animal for a year and help support the upkeep of the animals and important conservation work through the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation.
There are adoption packs for eight different species, including Amur Tigers, giraffes and Polar Bears, and the packages also include a cuddly toy of the chosen animal, a free admission to the park and admission to the adopter’s celebration day next year.
Annual Passes are perfect go-to gifts for animal enthusiasts to experience a whole year of unlimited fun at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The passes are priced at £60 for adults and £55 for children and seniors.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park also has vouchers for the mouth-watering experience at their Safari Cafe where people can enjoy an afternoon tea which includes delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes from £12.95 per adult and £6.95 per child. These can be purchased with or without admission tickets to the Park.
The park is in the midst of their magical Christmas Fairs which started last weekend and continue this weekend (December 15th and 16th).
At the Christmas Fair annual passes and selected experiences are on offer with a 15% discount.
The Christmas Fair is a celebration of all things Christmas, entry to the park includes the Christmas Fair where visitors can enjoy more than 90 stalls, overflowing with arts, crafts and gifts in fully-heated and floored marquees.
There is a pantomime show throughout the day featuring the park’s mascot Victor the Polar Bear and other entertainment to bring festive cheer to the event making it a wonderful way to start family Christmas celebrations.
