Keepmoat Homes to sponsor #PointFEST family festivalApril 12, 2019
darts (Doncaster Community Arts) is thrilled to announce that Keepmoat Homes has generously agreed to sponsor the much-anticipated #PointFEST event on Saturday 25 May 2019. Thanks to this extra funding, the event will be bigger and better than ever!
Ben Ormsby of Keepmoat Homes said: “As a business that is both located in Doncaster and delivering much needed new homes across the region, we understand the importance of community and are delighted to be able to support this inclusive family festival as it returns for its second year.”
#PointFEST organiser, Hayley Beecher said “We are so delighted that Keepmoat Homes have shown their support through this sponsorship. #PointFEST is such a fun and inclusive event for all of the community and we feel there’s a real fit in the commitment that both Keepmoat and darts has to Doncaster residents.”
The 2019 FREE event takes place at The Point, South Parade on Saturday 25th May from 11am to 3pm. This year #PointFEST is aiming for the skies with a superhero theme. Fancy dress is encouraged, so whether you’re feeling heroic or villainous, be sure to don your cape or grab your costume – we want to see Doncaster’s mightiest assemble!
There’s plenty to enjoy on the fun filled line-up, including live music, a face painter, DJ, a family rave and art activities. Although many of the activities will be open to drop into throughout the day, some activities can be pre-booked so do check darts’ Eventbrite pages for more information.
During the festival, The Point’s Gallery will be hosting Scribble, Doodle and Draw, a comic-themed exhibition featuring gigantic comic strips created by professional artists Ed Syder, Tor Freeman and Jim Medway, with resources available for visitors to create and contribute their own artwork. The exhibition will be open for families attending the festival to explore.
