Frenchgate bringing light into the festive seasonNovember 06, 2018Frenchgate Shopping Centre Doncaster are aiming to bring light into the community this Christmas by launching a campaign with Age UK Doncaster.
The shopping centre will be selling a range of six candles from 10th November, which will be available to purchase at Guest Services within the Centre and on Saturdays throughout the Christmas period outside Debenhams, with all proceeds going to Age UK Doncaster.
The candles come in six lovely fragrances including Lemon Grass and Lime, Fig, Dark Noir, Pink Prosecco, Ginger and White Lilly and the Christmas fragrance of Cinnamon and Orange. They will be priced at £12 and come fully gift wrapped, making them a perfect Christmas gift, and will also be available to purchase from Age UK Doncaster Information and Advice at Priory Place.
Karen Staniforth, assistant general manager at Frenchgate Shopping Centre, said: “We have a very loyal customer base at Frenchgate, of which a significant proportion are senior. Therefore, we felt inspired to do something for the ageing community this year. It is very important to us to give something back to the local community and we support a number of local charities every year.
“By buying and giving someone one of the charity candles you are not only giving the gift of light, it will be helping those who receive support from Age UK Doncaster.”
The charity candles coincide with Frenchgate’s theme for Christmas 2018 which is hygge – the Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of cosiness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment. The centre will be aiming to bring light into the lives of its customers throughout the festive season.
