• Doncaster’s rail college launches virtual open day

Doncaster’s National College for Advanced Transport & Infrastructure is inviting potential future learners to find out about the college and its courses by attending its virtual open day’ experience, which goes live on Tuesday 23 June.

Current social distancing measures have meant the previously planned open events at the state-of-the-art campus have not been able to take place. However, starting next week, the college’s ‘self-serve’ online open day will give potential learners a real feel for studying at the college.

The College currently runs a range of courses aimed at learners aged 18 and over, that prepare learners to enter the rail, transport and infrastructure sectors.
Potential learners will be able to:
    • Access a virtual tour of the College
    • Watch a video overview of the College
    • Read up on key resources – course information, learner support and more
    • Read information on our response to Covid-19
    • Join our ‘2020 Applications Facebook Group’
    • Book a careers guidance session
    • Apply for courses starting in autumn
Head of Communications and Marketing, Susanne Davies, said: “In these unprecedented times it is important that our potential learners have access to the latest information on the courses and progression options available through the College, in order to make an informed choice.

“Our courses prepare learners for future careers in the rail, transport and infrastructure sector – starting with the Level 3 Access to HE Diploma in Engineering, through to the Cert HE, Foundation Degree and Top-up Degree in High Speed Rail and Infrastructure, which is validated by Sheffield Hallam University.

“There is growing demand for skilled people to join the rail, transport and infrastructure sector – with up to £32bn to be invested in the UK over the next 12 months alone. It’s a great time to be thinking about building a career in this fast-moving sector.”

To access the virtual open day resources, go to www.ncati.ac.uk/virtual-open-day from Tuesday 23 June.
