• Doncaster Chamber calls for local business support

Ahead of the Doncaster Business Awards on 12 December, Doncaster Chamber is urging local business to get involved and donate prizes for the charity raffle, held as part of the highly anticipated awards event.
The Doncaster Business Awards, sponsored this year by Doncaster College & University Centre, are an annual recognition and celebration of excellence across Doncaster business. Each year all monies raised in the charity raffle is donated to the year’s chosen charities.
Some of the exciting prizes donated so far include:
    • a helicopter experience
    • shopping vouchers
    • overnight stays at top Doncaster hotels
    • personal training sessions
    • a private box at Doncaster Racecourse
    • Club Doncaster hospitality package
    • family days out
    • meals out
    • beauty treatments
    • and much more!
This year, all proceeds from the charity raffle on the night will support Doncaster Community Arts (darts), Doncaster Little Theatre and Cast.
On the importance of championing, supporting these artistic and cultural initiatives, Stefan Rodgers, Commercial Director at Doncaster Chamber, said:
“The Doncaster Business Awards are a highlight of the calendar year and it is fantastic that we can support such worth causes through the charity raffle. The creative and arts sector are essential in helping to make Doncaster a more vibrant and a better place to live, which in turn helps to grow the local economy. I am delighted that we can support these three charities and would encourage any local businesses to donate a prize, if they are able to.”
Sian Booth, Head of Marketing and Communications at Cast, said:
“Cast are delighted to be supported by these prestigious awards which so effectively showcase Doncaster’s business accomplishments. Being chosen as a charity for the awards will help Cast to continue breaking down barriers to arts participation, helping us to engage hard to reach audiences within the local community. Arts participation can greatly improve an individual’s health and wellbeing, and we continue to strive for equal access for all. In this way we mirror Doncaster Chamber’s vision to be a credible and helpful source of empowerment for the local community, working hard to bring the World to Doncaster and Doncaster to the World.”
