Don Valley Cycles - Official Opening NightAugust 02, 2019Don Valley Cycles recently had an official opening night at their new expanded premises on Carr House Road, Doncaster, attracting over 60 regular customers and friends on the evening.
The evening was a great success with Mayor Ros Jones attending the opening. We had a talk by local cycling journalist, Chris Sidwells about his Uncle, Tom Simpson, a former local rider who is Great Britain’s only professional World Cycling Champion. Chris has recently published a book series called cycling legends and Tom is the first Rider he features.
The Evening followed on with music from local blues guitarist, Frank Carline.A raffle was also held on the night to raise some funds to buy a folding trike for Imogen Carline who has severe autism. Thanks to all who came we raised over £200 towards the fund.
We would like to thank all our loyal customers who have supported the shop over the last 26 years .
Previously trading from the Chequer Road premises for over 26 years we made the move to larger premises with more suitable parking for customers. After waiting many years for the right property to become available. In very difficult retail trading times it was very important to tick all the boxes that we needed to achieve this so when the former Iron Mongers on Carr House Road came available we made the decision to go for it .Our customers seem very pleased with the new shop and we have also picked up quite a few new customers due to the main road location.
Here at Don Valley Cycles we continue to put customer services and product Knowledge as our priority, all the staff are regular cyclist also which keeps us at the forefront of any product testing. We open six days a week with six dedicated parking places.
