Please note this workshop is for businesses who have been trading for under three years, or people who are looking to become self-employed in the Doncaster area.
If you find yourself awake at night worrying about that presentation you have to give or maybe you feel you don’t know where to start when planning a pitch to win new business? Maybe you find yourself stuck when presenting to a room full of people? This session will include:
- The purpose of a presentation
- Knowing your audience
- Do’s and don’ts
- Structuring a presentation
- Practicing delivery
Delegates on the course will share top tips that will help you become a more competent, confident and better presenter. Whether you’re new to presenting or an old hand who wants to brush up on your skills, come along to learn and to practice in a safe environment.
Mark Smith who is delivering this session runs Make Your Mark UK, a training and consultancy business aimed at helping businesses and charities to be better. Mark has previously worked at Doncaster Chamber as head of membership and Business Services and has held senior management roles in the third sector. He is a qualified trainer and currently Deputy National President for the Junior Chamber International (JCI) in the UK.

All event bookings must be paid in full prior to attending.
All events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Doncaster Chamber reserves the right to cancel any event without notice and without reason, therefore any monies paid will be refunded in full.
Waiting List – please note that all events have a maximum capacity. Once this is reached you can still register and be entered onto a waiting list. If we have any cancellations these spaces will automatically be allocated to the waiting list in order of booking.
No show policy – please note that we now operate a no-show policy. If a member does not attend two events in succession without notifying the Chamber, they will not be permitted to book onto an event for the next 30 days. Please always try to let us know if you cannot attend an event so that we can allocate your space to another member on the waiting list.
Photos are taken at many of our Chamber events and used for promotional purposes. If you do not want to be included in photos please speak to a member of Chamber team at the event you’re attending.
