Doncaster Chamber and Doncaster Council are keen to discuss local and regional supply chain issues with SMEs and larger firms alike. This is with a view to understand what mechanisms, support and interventions could be put in place to support Doncaster SMEs in accessing commercial opportunities with larger firms and to understand what might motivate some of the borough’s anchor employers to buy local.
Whilst recognising that our private sector operates in a global economy and that the borough needs to be outward looking, it is the hypothesis of the Chamber and Council that more could be done to reinvest the Doncaster pound with benefits to our businesses and economy in uncertain times.
Lee Tillman, Assistant Director of Strategy & Performance for DMBC, and Dan Fell, CEO of Doncaster Chamber, will share an update on the current situation across the borough and beyond, then ask attendees about their current buying and selling habits and what more can be done to create new opportunities.
Feedback will be used to inform strategy to provide the right support firms need to develop local supply chains.
Please arrive before 8:00am to help yourself to tea/coffee and pastries and be ready for a prompt 8:00am start.
