In this workshop we will be exploring how to go about raising the career aspirations of young people across Doncaster. Looking at creating a stronger connection between those in education and their future employers. Developing the confidence to engage in ‘meaningful’ conversations with young people and supporting them in their development of ‘healthy habits’ for career success. This workshop will provide you with tips and tricks on how to engage with young people, in particular when delivering careers talks in schools, hosting industry visits and providing work experience and supported internships.

Speaker Bio: Kurt Lindley
Kurt is a resident and advocate of Doncaster, a father to a future member of the boroughs workforce. With over 20 years’ experience in the field of learning and development across performance sport, the corporate sector and education he has worked with small, medium and large organisations including most recently NHS Professionals, EnQuest and Doncaster Council. As a TEDx Host and speaker he has a shared openly his interest in wellbeing and the value of your community in this. Kurt is also the Executive Editor/Captain of the #LearningScientistMag a free online magazine for all things people development.
Waiting List – please note that all events have a maximum capacity. Once this is reached you can still register and be entered onto a waiting list. If we have any cancellations these spaces will automatically be allocated to the waiting list in order of booking.
No show policy – please note that we now operate a no-show policy. If a member does not attend two events in succession without notifying the Chamber, they will not be permitted to book onto an event for the next 30 days. Please always try to let us know if you cannot attend an event so that we can allocate your space to another member on the waiting list.
Doncaster Chamber Event Terms and Conditions
All event bookings must be paid in full prior to attending, if the full amount is not paid then you could be refused entry. If there is a significant reason as to why payment cannot be made prior to an event you must contact the Events or Finance department immediately.
All events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Doncaster Chamber reserves the right to cancel any event without notice and without reason, therefore any monies paid will be refunded in full.
