    Event Description:
The interview process at the Doncaster Chamber Awards counts for 70% of the overall score so it is crucial for businesses to ensure their presentation and interview are to a high standard to beat the competition.

    Is this event for me?

Award winning recruitment agency Venatu will be offering a comprehensive insight into how you can make the best impression and the do's and don'ts of interviews and presentations. This workshop will offer advice to those businesses who are new to award entries and provide a great refresher to anyone who has entered awards before but wants to brush up on their interview skills.

    Why should I attend?

Being through the process themselves and winning ‘Business Start Up of the Year Award’, Venatu Recruitment Group are able to share their experience from how they found the interview process to what makes a good interview. They know what the judges are looking for and how to make a lasting impression. With being a successful recruitment agency themselves, they know all about the Do’s and Don’ts in an interview, how to control nerves and those all-important interview tips to help you succeed.

    Judging Process  - Stage 2

    Stage 2

Will count for 70% of the overall score. Each category will have two judges for Stage 2 (one sponsor judge and one Doncaster Chamber representative).  Judges will be asked to visit each finalist for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.  Judges are free to set their own questions/conduct interviews and discussion as they wish but they must drill down into the relevant criteria as outlined on the entry forms and provided scoring charts.

Awards entrants will be asked to present for 10-15 minutes at the start of the interview to allow judges to understand the business. The presentation will not be scored and should not exceed 15 minutes.  This need not be a formal presentation (Power Point, Prezi or otherwise). The intention is simply to describe the business so that it can be assessed fairly.  Judges will not see the Business Awards Panel’s scores (Stage 1) at any point.

After the interview/discussion stage, all judges will be asked to return their scores to the Doncaster Chamber event organiser who will add up all scores, apply the necessary weighting/handicap (for eligible categories), and verify results.  The entrants with the highest overall scores will be confirmed as the winner and runner up for each category.
