Description
UK Export Controls are a complex area which at first sight can seem like a minefield. In an age of increased terrorism, heightened checks and controls and sophisticated extremists looking to substitute obvious supply chains closed down to them, do you know if your seemingly innocuous commercial product needs an export licence? This two day course will bring together the seemingly disparate strands and will de-mystify the terminology used, translating the jargon and providing step by step procedures for the producer, manufacturer and supplier to follow.
Course Content
- What are Export Controls
- The UK Strategic Export Control List – what is this, why does the UK have one
- Military and Dual Use explained
- End Use Controls
- How to check for a rating for your products
- Types of Export Licence
- Applying for an Export Licence
- End User Undertaking paperwork explained
- Specific procedures to follow when exporting with an export licence
- Record keeping to prove compliance
- The Compliance Audit
- Keeping up to date with changes in regulations going forward
- Avoid having your goods stopped by Customs and a hefty fine by understanding UK export controls for military and ‘dual use’ commercial products.
