This half-day practical webinar provides delegates with the necessary skills and knowledge to understand the rules of origin around preference, to take advantage of favourable duty rates depending on international trade agreements when exporting goods overseas.
Course Content
- Understand the difference between Preference and Non-Preference Origin
- Learn what is meant by Non-Preference, Preference and Free Circulation
- Discover the different types of Origin, and learn why the Tariff and understanding commodity codes is so important
- Clarification around the rules determining preference rules of origin
- Understand why a Certificate of Origin is needed
- Understand preference documents such as EUR1's and ATR's and the difference between them
- Understand the both the transformation and percentage rule and how to apply them

This course will inform the attendee on the current rules of origin, preference agreements, how to choose where goods originate "officially" and the administration processes to support origin declarations. This will enable delegates to understand the process of determining preferential origin in order to complete export documents appropriately.
