Description
This course will educate delegates in the procedures and documentation required to complete an import transaction successfully. Delegates should gain understanding of the import process from making the import purchase to getting goods through the customs clearance in time and on budget.
Course Content
- The import process - the steps involved and administrating import activities
- Where to find relevant information to carry out importing efficiently
- Tariff and commodity code requirements
- Incoterms 2020 and modes of transport
- Documentation including insurance, transport and customs declarations
- Using freight forwarders and freight rates
- Payment terms
- Impact of Brexit
- Overview of other Custom regimes in particular IPR and OPR
Delegates will understand the procedures and documentation required to ensure the import transaction is successful and avoid any possible problems.

This course will be split over two days and delivered as a webinar via Zoom. Delegates will be provided with copies of guidance notes electronically. Webinar login details will be provided on booking.
