Description
Following consultation with educators, employers and members of the public from across the borough, Doncaster Council, the Doncaster Opportunity Area and Opportunities Doncaster have developed the Doncaster Promise: a Compact detailing the set of commitments and expectations for future business and education partnerships.
What is the Doncaster Promise?
A deep and sincere commitment from businesses to support and help young people in their careers; for education partners, this means promising to work closely with Doncaster's business communities to develop work-ready young people and highlight the brilliant career opportunities available in our borough.
The aim of the Compact is to develop a highly skilled local workforce, improve the quality of Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) in the borough to raise young people's aspirations and awareness of career possibilities, and improve social mobility.
Join us on 2 December to learn more about the Doncaster Promise, how you can become a signatory and the range of activities you can get involved in as part of your commitment.
The event also provides an opportunity to learn more about how to get involved in the Business Showcase Days taking place throughout Doncaster Careers Week 2020 and how, as part of the British Chamber of Commerce's People Campaign, local businesses can help to make Doncaster a more productive, attractive and vibrant place to work.
