Doncaster has been ‘punching above its weight’ in recent years hosting major sporting events such as the World Cycling Championships, the Tour de Yorkshire, the Women’s Six Nations, the annual St Leger Festival and of course will host three group stage fixtures of the Rugby League World Cup in 2021. Doncaster is working hard to ensure its best placed to bid for future hosting rights and that the benefits for everyone are clear to see.
