Doncaster Chamber is proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week (18th -22nd May)
Each session will comprise of 20 minutes from an expert speaker followed by an interactive Q&A where you will be able to ask the expert questions directly. There will be an opportunity to have further discussions with the expert after the session has finished.
Overview:
An introduction into mood management and emotional resilience can help individuals to recognise and manage difficult emotions.Delivered by a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist this will be useful for both individuals and employers to support their employees.The webinar can help you to validate and normalise some of the worries and anxieties we currently face but also offer techniques and guidance to learn routines and interventions to reduce the impact on your emotional well-being.
Speaker Bio:
Gavin Lawton – Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Owner of Alder Tree Therapy House.
Gavin is Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) with over 20 years of experience working in healthcare and mental health. He has experience of working with people who experience mood and anxiety related problems. This ranges from depression and self-esteem and problems across the anxiety disorder spectrum including panic disorder and obsessional compulsive disorder. Gavin is the Course Director of the CBT department at Hull University and has 8 years’ experience of teaching both undergraduate and post graduate training of psychological therapies.
As part of Alder tree Therapy house Gavin is part of a team that provides psychological therapies and health and well-being services to businesses which includes 1:1 therapy, Mindfulness and mental health and emotional resilience workshops.
