Overview:
The Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) is a funded initiative providing free research and innovation consultancy support to SMEs throughout the Sheffield City Region to stimulate business growth and promote the development of long-term relationships. SIP is a partnership between Sheffield Hallam University, The University of Sheffield and the Sheffield City Region Growth Hub.
ScaleUp 360 is an SCR wide programme providing tailored support to entrepreneurs and start-ups with the ambition and potential to scale up their business. From pre or early start up to investment ready, this programme wants to help all businesses reach their growth potential.
This webinar will explain how each of the programmes work, the types of projects that can be eligible and how to access the broad range of academic expertise and university facilities across both.
Speaker Bio:
Antony Davies
Antony has spent the last 20 years working in innovation and technology consulting, based in South Yorkshire but working on projects throughout Europe and beyond. As a business owner and director in the private sector for many years he has support many large companies and SMEs to access innovation support. Antony is now based at Sheffield Hallam University leading on the Sheffield Innovation Programme.
Darren Chouings
Darren is passionate about start-up business development and manages the Hallam i-Lab at Sheffield Hallam University.
In previous roles, Darren led on start-up support for social entrepreneurs at The University of Sheffield and was responsible for developing their most recent entrepreneurship strategy.
Alongside supporting the development of student and graduate start-ups, Darren has designed and delivered various education programmes that support local enterprise and international partner institutions. This support has been delivered in the UK and also to both Central Asian and South Korean Universities.
Darren is now chair of The Sheffield Social Enterprise Network and Trustee for Museums Sheffield.
