Chamber Digital - Covid-19: How to navigate the contractual challenges
Our online information and support sessions comprise of 20 minute presentation from an expert speaker followed by an interactive Q&A where you will be able to ask questions directly either via your camera or the chat box option.
This session will be hosted by Carys Thompson, Craig Chappell and Sarah Burton from Keebles LLP.
Most businesses will no doubt have implemented their short-term ‘fire-fighting’ response to the impacts of Covid-19 and are now are naturally considering their medium to long-term plans for continuing to operate in these difficult times.
The unprecedented restrictions imposed by the UK government are likely to lead to businesses to consider their obligations under existing contractual relationships and give greater scrutiny to any new contracts with their suppliers or customers.
We will discuss:
- Rights and obligations in relation to delayed supplies
- Payment terms and managing credit control
- How to approach renegotiation and/or termination of existing contracts
- How to record agreed variations to existing contracts
- What to consider before entering into new contracts
