Each session will comprise of 20 minutes from an expert speaker followed by an interactive Q&A where you will be able to ask the expert questions directly. There will be an opportunity to have further discussions with the expert after the session has finished.
Overview:
This session will be hosted by Charlotte Dimond from Sidekick PR.
Communicating during a crisis is about being factual, being human and being relevant. Over the past few weeks, we will have all seen businesses get their communication right and will have lots of examples of those who’ve not!
In this session we will look at how you should communicate at this time:
- How to communicate with your staff
- How to communicate with your customers
- Being helpful not promotional
- Staying human
Speaker Bio:
Charlotte Dimond is a director of Sidekick PR, she is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of PR who has worked in PR for more than 20 years. She has worked with organisations from NHS Trusts to businesses managing communication for many crisis situations.Along with her Sidekick co-directors, she is currently supporting clients through the global Covid-19 pandemic.The team, who focus on crisis preparedness for businesses are helping to ensure that clients communicate both internally and externally in a calm, factual and human way. Charlotte is also a lecturer in strategic communication at Sheffield Hallam University.
