Since March 2020 all our lives have been impacted significantly by COVID 19 and subsequent actions taken to tackle the virus. The government now faces the challenge of managing the nation's health and renewing the economy.
Apprenticeships, Traineeships, investment in the National Careers Service, and a new 'Kickstart Scheme' are the crucial elements of a new 'Plan for Jobs' announced by the Chancellor, the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP.
Andy Hibbitt, COO of Doncaster Chamber of Commerce will provide you with an overview of how the Chambers are supporting local employers so that they have a skilled workforce for the future that will be critical to reviving our economy, with a sharp focus on the Skills Agenda.
You will hear first-hand from representatives from DWP, ESFA as well as DN Colleges who will be able to tell you more about how YOUR business can benefit from these national skills initiatives including changes in Apprenticeships, Traineeships, investment in the National Careers Service, and details on the new 'Kickstart Scheme'.
The Q&A session gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have and have your say on what you feel needs to be done to shape the Skills Agenda as we move forward into new normal.
