This award is presented to a business that demonstrates they truly have the customer at the very heart of their business. Judging criteria includes customer service standards and strategy, business performance, customer care, and how customer service has driven business growth.
Excellence in People Development
This award will be presented to the company who demonstrates their efforts and results from investing in their staff development to support the business and its growth. Judging criteria will include evidence of access to development opportunities, including staff training, apprenticeships offered to staff and how staff are able to progress through the organisation.
Excellence in Corporate, Social & Environmental Responsibility
The award will be presented to the organisation who has a clear and demonstrable strategy for their efforts and achievements in Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility. Criteria and judging will be based on the benefits received by the company, customers, communities, the environment and the on-going sustainability of the business' efforts.
Marketing Campaign of the Year

The Marketing and Promotion Award recognises a marketing, PR or advertising campaign that has proved to be original, innovative and particularly effective.
Success through Innovation
Pegler Yorkshire Group LLP
This category recognises firms that have identified new ways to stay ahead of the competition. This award will go to a company that has been innovative in its approach to business and that has achieved success through diversification into new products or markets.
Success through Partnerships
This award recognises the combined ability of partnered organisations to seek out and develop partnerships that move beyond normal commercial relationships to deliver real added value to all partners, customers and other stakeholders.
Business and Education Partnership
This award recognises businesses working in partnership with schools to support young people to raise their career aspirations.
Doncaster College & University Centre
This award provides you with the opportunity to nominate and acknowledge an employee from your business who, in your opinion, has a promising bright future and has already shown an outstanding performance in the past year within the workplace.
Open to entrants up to 24 years old, either in a part-time, full time or an apprenticeship role. The judges will be looking for how hard work and commitment, coupled with a positive attitude has already proven some demonstrable benefits to your business.
Business Start Up of the Year
This award will go to an organisation that is based in Doncaster (DN postcode) or is a Doncaster Chamber member that has been trading under 2 years by December 2018. The organisation must be able to demonstrate continued growth since start-up whilst meeting and overcoming challenges. It will take into consideration market awareness, vision for the future of the business, strong commercial performance and financial results.
Third Sector Organisation of the Year
This award will go to a third sector organisation that the judges believe has been clear in its goals and strategy, effectively promoted its cause and beneficiaries and demonstrated excellent customer service whilst simultaneously showing growth and sustainability as an organisation since inception.
SME Business of the Year
Wilkin Chapman Business Solutions
The SME Business of the Year Award will be given to the company that best demonstrate all-round excellence in business. The judging will focus on financial performance, future objectives, the competitive advantage of the business, a commitment to customer service and examples of specific strategies which have driven business growth.
Large Business of the Year
The Large Business of the Year Award will be given to the company that best demonstrate all-round excellence in business. The judging will focus on financial performance, future objectives, the competitive advantage of the business, a commitment to customer service and examples of specific strategies which have driven business growth.
