Board of Directors Elections
"It is important that your Chamber continues to be led by business people with the experience, enthusiasm and vision needed to continue driving Doncaster's regeneration and business support agenda."
Doncaster Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors, who are elected by Doncaster Chamber members. The role of the Board is to ensure the Chamber achieves its strategic objectives and that the voice of its members is represented at the highest level.
Each year positions on the Board of Directors for Doncaster Chamber of Commerce & Enterprise can come up for election. This year there are three opportunities for senior business professionals with enthusiasm and vision to join the Board to support the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management Team to deliver the Chamber's business plan and wider work supporting Doncaster's economy.
Nominations are now closed.
In that event that there are more nominees than Board Director vacancies, Chamber members will be requested to complete a ballot paper to cast their vote. Members will receive their ballot paper directly via email.
The deadline to cast your vote is midday, 19 November 2020.
The successful candidate(s) will be announced during the Doncaster Chamber Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 16 December 2020. Book your place now.
"I have served on the board of the Doncaster Chamber for the last 2 years and we have seen tremendous improvement in the quality and standing of the Chamber in that time. We have made some key hires, improved our technology, and significantly improved our outreach to members. I am one of the owners of Doncaster based HSR Solicitors. I believe the Chamber plays an essential role in Doncaster in regard to policy, education, entrepreneurship, and advocacy for business. Doncaster is a great place to do business and the Chamber is no small part of that."

"Mark Pepper is owner and CEO of his family business, Carlton Forest Group which encompasses a well-established third party logistics and warehousing company, property management and renewable energy division.
Mark displays a vision and tenacity that has allowed him to establish a successful business, deliver year on year growth and diversify into a new market, that of renewable energy generation through hard to recycle and hard to treat materials which is now beginning to challenge recycling and waste processes in the UK.
Mark’s personable nature, business experience and commitment to business in the local area will make him a valuable asset to the Board of Directors and delivery of the Chamber vision."

"I am a fifty-three year old qualified Accountant. I live and work in Doncaster, I am married with two young adults (eighteen and twenty-one), both currently at University.
I have spent twenty years of my career in Doncaster, mainly as a Finance Director.
Basically, I just want to give something back to the business and wider community for all it has given me. It’s as simple as that. What I can offer – well, thirty plus years of ups/downs/success – a broad spectrum of achievements and experience of being at the forefront of company decisions. I am pragmatic, not easily phased and never offended. At the same time I never offend others. I believe I have got a good sensible business head, but I am also a people person."

"How do you cram over 36 years of running businesses in the Doncaster area into 100 words? Business, no matter how big or small is my passion. Growing and helping businesses is what I do and that is not to say I haven’t made mistakes along the way and hopefully learned from them. Academically, I am from a graduate construction background, hence that is why I run a medium size food manufacturing business Kingasia Foods Ltd and a Property Development Company, diverse to say the least. This indicates a wide knowledge base that hopefully I can bring to the board of Doncaster Chamber. I hope members will support my application to go onto the board as a non-executive director. Thank you for your support."
