Why the USA?

The South Yorkshire International Trade Forum (SYITF) is pleased to announce that our next event in March entitled Why the USA? on Tuesday 13 March will be an interactive presentation with SYITF members. The USA is still the top export market for the UK, although it has enormous opportunities, it also brings its challenges.

Leading the presentation will be William Beckett, SYITF Chairman and MD of William Beckett Plastics, who established its US subsidiary in 1994 and is now being responsible for 50% of the company's global sales which resulted in the company winning a number of international related awards. William will be speaking on market research, market entry, market penetration, culture, employment, legal and financial issues relating to operating in the US.

SYITF sponsors and other SYITF members will join the panel and contribute to the discussion as each topic is addressed.   

The presentation and discussion will help companies already exporting or potential new exporters to the US prepare to take appropriate steps to successfully enter and trade with the US market and to understand how the journey into exporting to the US is different.
