United Carpets and beds Annual Conference

United Carpets and beds Annual Conference was this year held in Puorto Banus Marbella Spain. The Conference is attended by Franchise and Corporate stores of 86 in total along with partners and suppliers of carpets.
 
This Conference was all about taking stock of where our businesses are positioned today and setting goals as to where we want them to be , driven by enthusiasm and self motivation a very successfull conference was had by all.
 
Then it was the Gala dinner the red carpet was rolled out, the linen had been pressed and tension began to mount as the guests arrived with only one thing on everybody's minds 'The Awards' Who had won and who would give the best speeches
 
The Awards were: Bed Store of the Year, Model Store of the Year, Mystery Shop Award and Franchisee of the Year.
 
We are pleased to announce that John and Joanne Horgan the Franchisee's of the Doncaster Branch collected the following three out of the four awards on behalf of their team Jonathan Horgan, John Thompson, Jamie Boulton, Philip Mellon and Marie Woods.
 
Franchisee of the Year 2010/2011.... Its the biggest and most esteemed award of the ceremony with  the criterea being met at all levels strong like for like sales, high standards and a real commitment to the brand.

Model Store of the Year 2010/2011.... For consistantly high store standards, Ready for business attitude and for making the customer journey the best possible shopping experience within the group.

Bed Store of the Year 2010/2011...  Presented for exceeding like for like sales and the attitude and commitment to the newly refurbished department along with high standards in place.
 
Says Joanne “after 12 years in the business we both know, hand on heart, that all our initial anxieties and concerns have been met and overcome. We were given excellent operational support and even now, just one phone call is always met by first class support throughout the company. I have achieved a good work/life balance and feel as enthusiastic now about the business as I did when we first opened the store in July 1999. Every day presents new opportunities to grow the business and to develop ongoing relationships with new and existing customers. I am very happy with all aspects of the business and it has certainly out-performed my expectations. I am now looking forward to a long and prosperous future with United Carpets
