TWO LOCAL CHARITIES TO BENEFIT FROM CIRCUS EVENT

Two Doncaster charities are set to benefit when the circus with a purpose comes to town next week (September 13).

Autism Plus, based in Thorne, have been given 15 tickets to the circus by the Kat Communication’s Community Program.

Doncaster based Kat Communications work with companies to provide a broad range of telephone services including landlines, mobile phones, lone worker protection and vehicle and asset tracking solutions.

Anthony Temperton, managing director of Kat Communications said: “Last year we launched our community program to raise money and awareness of local charities, community projects and individuals in the Doncaster and surrounding area.

“We have worked hard over the last twelve months and have raised money for and supported organisations including Homestart Doncaster, Warmsworth Lions under 9s football team, and the NSPCC.

“Circus Starr gives proceeds from ticket sales to a local charity and we decided that by donating a number of tickets to Autism Plus two local charities would get a boost.”

Circus Starr arrive in Doncaster on September 13 with a magical blend of top flight acrobatics, comedy and balancing with the proceeds from the advanced ticket sales going towards the St. Johns Hospice Cancer Detection Trust.

Lynn Davies, Head of Residential Service at Autism Plus, a leading charity providing services to adults and children with autistic spectrum disorders, learning disabilities and mental health difficulties, said “We are very grateful to KAT Communications for donating these tickets.

“Some of my favourite memories over the years are of trips to the circus and I am really pleased that the people we support will be able to have such a lovely experience.”

The circus will be in Doncaster on September 13 at Sandall Park, Barnby Dunn from 4.45pm until 7pm. For further details visit www.circus-starr.co.uk
