Trade Visit - Chengdu & Jinhua

Trade Visit

Chengdu + 1
(Jinhua or 2nd city of your choice)

24th to 31st May 2011

OVERVIEW
Creative Sheffield & CBBC are organising a trade mission to Chengdu and Jinhua.

Chengdu is a major city in Western China with a population of 12 million people. At the hub of a strategic development region, Chengdu has both rapidly developing opportunities and has shown strong interest in working with UK businesses and organisations. Chengdu is Sheffield’s partner city in China and the visit will coincide with Chengdu’s Sister Cities Week. There are a number of exciting opportunities during the week including a Business Enterprise and Tourism Forum. This trade visit is planned to allow access to Chengdu’s business community through the links Sheffield has made with Chengdu.

The programme also includes a visit to Jinhua which is located in Zhejiang Province. Jinhua is a traditional centre of agricultural production, and recently has developed an industrial base on food processing, electronics, machinery and pharmaceuticals. Recent visits by Jinhua delegations have demonstrated their interest in working with Yorkshire and Humber businesses, and there will be a business focused programme laid on for the visit.

Note: Although the package and cost includes Jinhua, companies have the option to visit a second city of their choice and this will be priced accordingly.
