Talking Heads® get more people talking with 50% funding from The Skills Enhancement Fund

Talking Heads®, the region’s language services agency, is delighted to announce that they have secured 50% funding for language, culture and export skills training courses for companies in the Yorkshire & Humber region.

The programme is supported by The Skills Enhancement Fund which is co-financed by the Skills Funding Agency through the European Social Fund and funded by Yorkshire Forward.

Twenty Five thousand pounds has been earmarked to support local companies who are looking to increase their international trade skills. This means that companies can go out there and generate income from across the world!

The UK government has been very vocal in promoting the idea that businesses should be expanding their horizons by looking outside of the country to generate opportunities and income via export. Lord Green, Minister of State for Trade and Investment says "Trade and investment are central to the core of a viable growth strategy for this country. We have to all think more proactively about where the opportunities are".

With this in mind companies need to equip themselves with the tools required to successfully trade internationally so they can once again increase their turnover, grow their workforce (by employing local people), which in turn has undoubtedly has a positive effect on the local economy.

Talking Heads® will be offering courses in the following areas: learning a language, culture knowledge and export trading skills such as Export Documentation and Tariff Classification. With the 50% funding, all of the courses are marked down to half price – resulting in savings of £1,000 in some cases.
