Specialist Firm Lands Doncaster Base

An asbestos consultancy, which specialises in asbestos surveying, removal and reinstatements, has expanded in to Doncaster thanks to a number of contract wins. Global Environmental, whose head office is in Goole, has taken on premises to accommodate its expanding plant and equipment at the Wright Business Park in the town.

Wayne Stead, Managing Director of Global Environmental said: “We are delighted to expand the company into Doncaster as it is where my roots are. I grew up in Thorne and it is great to be able to develop the business in my home town.

“Thanks to a number of recent contract wins we are in a position to take on new premises. The Wright Business Park was particularly attractive to us as we also needed pace for our equipment. The Business Park also offers great network links thanks to its location.

“We are really looking to build the business in 2010 in the South Yorkshire region and are keen to maximise on opportunities to work in partnership with local companies on the new Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. “Any contract wins in this area will see us employing local people to deliver the work and we are strong believers in the buy local scheme.

“The identification and safe removal of asbestos is a very specialist area and we offer a consultancy service to provide surveys, removals and the safe reinstatement of building works.
