Premier Storage & Office Solutions Ltd - Racking up success

Mark Jepson is on a mission; to turn his business, Premier Storage and Office Solutions into a multi-million pound business, and going on what he has achieved so far, it’s unlikely to take him too long!

Premier Storage and Office Solutions provides flexible concepts to maximise the potential of the working environment, including a bespoke design and build service and a web site where a business can buy anything from mop to a mezzanine floor. 

Mark, 37, lives in Doncaster with his wife and 3 children and has worked in the power-tool and shelving industry all of his life.  He left his job of 14 years with a national company in 2007, with the lack of interest in growing the business and moving into web based sales, an area where Mark felt there was huge potential.    

It was time to go it alone!  On a tight budget and working out of his bedroom, Mark started his racking and shelving, web based business, turning over £40,000 in its first year.  

With sights set higher, Mark developed his web site with help from Doncaster College and Premier Storage and Office Solutions started to flourish.  In less than a year he had moved into premises at West Moor Park and now, only 4 years later, he employs 6 people, and has a turnover of almost £1 million, having worked on some prestigious projects in Doncaster, including the recent design and build of CEFCO’s new distribution centre.   

Not stopping there of course, Mark is now looking for a couple of apprentices and later this year will move to new premises at Sky Business Park near Robin Hood Airport, giving him a much needed space of 5000 m2  to help him grow his business – 6 times more than he has currently.  

Mark says “The web site took off really quickly and has continued to grow; I expect it to turnover not far off £1 million itself next year – and we will have a brand new site out later this year.  Now the turnkey projects are really coming into their own, and as we use local contractors wherever possible – we are able to provide work for other Doncaster businesses too.  I work with a fantastic team and I see real growth ahead for us all.”
