Doncaster solicitors Taylor Bracewell is all set to ‘make a difference’ in November by joining the 2011 Will Aid campaign to raise money for a group of very worthy charities.
The scheme, which was launched in 1988, allows solicitors to offer their will writing services free of charge by inviting the client to make a donation to Will Aid.
The campaign is becoming more and more popular and last year the free time given by solicitors around the country raised over £1.5 million for the 9 charities supported by Will Aid: Action Aid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sightsavers and Trocaire.
Taylor Bracewell has many years’ experience of helping the residents of Doncaster to protect the future of their family and loved ones by drawing up wills that reflect their own specific requirements. Making a will is straightforward and simple and the only way to make sure that money and possessions go where they were intended. However, many people still die having made no will resulting in assets being distributed according to a strict set of rules under the laws of intestacy. The deceased’s nearest and dearest can be left having to cope with legal complications at what is already distressful time. Sometimes a surviving spouse may even have to sell the family home to pay off other relatives.
Peter Caswell, Partner and head of Taylor Bracewell’s personal law team says “This is an ideal opportunity for people to plan properly for the future and make a will that reflects their own needs, whilst at the same time making a difference to someone else’s life with a donation. Everyone is sure to find a charity close to their heart within the nine that are supported by Will Aid.
Will Aid's suggested minimum donation is £85 for a single will and £125 for basic mirror wills.
We are ready to give up our time to help make that difference, so please join us by making an appointment to make your will with us during the month of November this year and help to transform the lives of people here in the UK and all over the world.”
