Hodsock Priory has appointed a new conference and events manager as the development of facilities at the picturesque estate near Blyth, North Nottinghamshire, draws nearer completion.
Lindsay Jones, from Carlton-in-Lindrick, who has relinquished her role as Assistant Headteacher at Elizabethan High School Retford, joins the Hodsock team to manage the Hodsock Courtyard; a sympathetic and sustainable redevelopment of the old Dairy on the estate which perfectly complements the beautifully restored main house. It will provide a peaceful, picturesque location to hold a meeting, conference or training event. Great attention has been given to providing high quality facilities allowing guests and delegates to appreciate the beautiful 800 acre estate.
“I am delighted to be joining the team at Hodsock and looking forward to the new challenges that the role will bring,” commented Lindsay. “I have been familiar with the Hodsock Estate for many years. I have enjoyed riding in the extensive grounds and when I saw the post advertised I just knew it was the job for me and the perfect opportunity to make the career change that I had been seeking. What better place to come to work everyday! The development at the Priory is sympathetic and beautiful and together with the pavilion in the main house will provide Hodsock with an exciting portfolio to take to market. I want business professionals and holiday makers to love Hodsock just as I do.”
Already a highly desirable venue for weddings and private celebrations the creation of further conferencing facilities and 10 self catering rooms is allowing Hodsock to diversify further. A historic farming background is now being replaced by a stylish and professional hospitality industry facility.
“The appointment of Lindsay will ensure that there is a dedicated person to co-ordinate our conference and events ensuring the very best service is given to all our customers and we warmly welcome her,” commented George Buchanan, General Manager and resident owner of Hodsock Priory. “Her extensive marketing background and professional, friendly personality will ensure a dynamic launch for the estate to ensure the business community, the holiday market and anyone who needs a beautifully unique venue for a celebration will fully appreciate what we are all about.”
Hodsock Priory continues to evolve as a premier venue choice for weddings, events and short breaks and it is anticipated that the current work will be complete in July. Reservations are already being taken and can be made by calling 01909 591204. Alternatively visit www.hodsockpriory.com.
The project has been supported through the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), which is jointly funded by Defra and the European Union, and is delivered by East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA).
