People are being encouraged to buy a distinctive Christmas gift for friends and family who love sport - an up-close-and-personal evening with stars from South Yorkshire.
Any Sporting Questions is coming to Doncaster on February 3, an event that brings together a panel of sporting stars from the past and present.
People can put their questions to Olympic and Commonwealth medal winner Peter Elliott, wheelchair athlete and world number one Louis Speight, and World and European angling champion Tom Pickering.
They will be joined by in-demand Professor Ian Maynard, from Sheffield Hallam University, who will talk about his experiences helping world class athletes to cope with the pressure of international competition, and how the right mental attitude is crucial for success.
Professor Maynard supervised World Cup referee Howard Webb's pre-tournament training, utilising the environment chamber at Sheffield Hallam University.
The event, hosted by BBC Radio Sheffield, will give the audience an opportunity to put questions to the panel and find out what it takes to get to the top in sport.
Sheffield Hallam University is delivering this event in association with BBC Radio Sheffield and Doncaster Council. All proceeds will be donated to the Doncaster Civic Mayor's charities: Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion.
John Palmer, director of communications at Sheffield Hallam, said: "Those present can learn what makes these regional athletes proud to call South Yorkshire home, and how their training regimes, unparalleled discipline and mental toughness help them to compete at the highest level. It is the ideal Christmas present for sport fans."
Tickets cost £7/£5 concessions and are available from the theatre box office, or by calling 01302 342349 or visiting www.doncastercivic.co.uk
