Wigan based Plastech Ltd is expanding its operations by opening a new depot at Parkside Industrial Estate on Wheatley Hall Rd, creating new jobs in Doncaster.
The depot, which opens on May 3rd will be a sales & distribution centre of various plastic products including pipes for the construction, civil engineering & agricultural industries.
The move will create 5 new jobs & Plastech has already taken on local unemployed people in time for the opening.
Invest in Doncaster, Doncaster Council’s Inward Investment team assisted Plastech in their move to Doncaster.
The team helped find a suitable location for the depot, provided information on sites and introductions to other local businesses for the company to work in partnership with.
Plastech Director Paul Quin was looking for a location with excellent strategic links and found the Doncaster site to be exactly what the company needed.
He said: “With such strong links to a number of major routes, Doncaster was the ideal location when we were looking for a site for our new distribution centre.
“We are looking forward to moving our services to Doncaster and working with businesses throughout the South Yorkshire area.”
Peter Dale, Doncaster Council’s Director of Regeneration and Environment, said: “It is always good to see businesses choose Doncaster as their new location and we welcome Plastech to the Borough.”
