The Enhancement Fund is a £50m resource aimed at engaging employers in Yorkshire and Humber to invest in skills development and therefore increase the skills base in the region.
Due to the growth in demand for funding for training through the enhancement fund, and in order to avoid allocations being exhausted, it has become necessary for the fund to re-focus what training can and cannot be supported.
• There will be no support for training which is considered to be mandatory or is deemed as an employer’s duty of care.
• Non-accredited training can be supported but at a reduced rate of 42% Enhancement Fund contribution.
These changes will apply with immediate effect and across all routes.
Applications which are already in the system and have been endorsed will be considered under the old guidelines. For the Single Business Application Route and the Provider Route the cut off for receiving an endorsed electronic and hard copy will be the 29th June. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the endorsed electronic and hard copies have been received by the Enhancement Fund by the cut off date.
These changes have been made in full consultation with our funders, the LSC & Yorkshire Forward, and with the members of the Enhancement Fund Partnership Board. The changes will ensure that we can continue to support a wide range of provision across all sectors and size of company.
