DONCASTER MINSTER LAUNCHES A NEW LOGO

Doncaster Minster is proud to launch its new logo, designed and produced in partnership with Shane Murphy from Doncaster College and Printing.com, a leading Doncaster design and printing company.Dignitaries, businesses and community groups have been invited to Doncaster Minster on Friday 9th December at 7.00pm to unveil the logo for the Minster.

The launch of the logo marks the start of a new phase of development for the Minster, building on the Minster’s new vision to work in partnership with Doncaster Council, local organisations, schools and businesses. The Minster is committed to strengthening its place within the town centre and boroughas a focus for civic pride, heritage and community.

The Minster’s exciting new vision to raise funds to reorder and restore this magnificent building begins a new stage of work that seeks to ensure the heritage is secure for future generations, but also adapted as a flexible space for multiple use for everyone to enjoy.
The Vicar, the Revd Canon Dr Paul Shackerley said today, ‘I am very excited to work alongside Doncaster College and Printing.Com. These are challenging and exciting opportunities for the Minster, and our new logo is symbolic of our new strategy that will speak to a new audiences and users.’

Shane Murphy’s design stood out for its distinctive clarity and multiple interpretations of its symbolism. The design physically reflects the Minster’s East window but it also expresses theological themes of light, hope, resurrection and hospitality.
