Does Art improve your feelings of well-being?

Pupils who attend drawing painting and textiles classes at Gallery12a on South Parade Doncaster have been taking part in a survey to discover whether art really is as therapeutic as experts claim.

The overwhelming results are that people who attend these classes feel calmer, have a sense of well being and achievement, feel happier and want to return week after week!

Rosemary Firth who teaches at Gallery12a says she is thrilled by the responses from her pupils.

Some people have said they now have something to look forward to each week. Some have been calmed down after a stressful time at work. Others have been delighted with the things they have achieved even though they haven't picked up a pencil or brush since school days.

Classes run all week, mornings, afternoons and some evenings. All abilities are catered for and customers will find a warm and friendly atmosphere there. All classes include tea or coffee and biscuits and lots of new friends!
