Charlotte Lister Selected as a finalist for Business Excellence Awards

We are delighted to announce that Charlotte Lister an ACS UK Ltd employee has been selected as a finalist for the Employee of the Year Award through Goole and Howdenshire Business Excellence Awards which is sponsored by Transatlantic.

During the last three years Charlotte has taken part in a number of activities and courses to help develop student’s enterprise and business skills. Charlotte, later became even more involved with the community by partnering with ‘Doncaster Enterprise for Learning’ (DE4L) two years ago - Becoming a true ambassador for the local-education sector.

Throughout August 2010 and March 2011 Charlotte was Vice-Chair of the ‘DE4L Skills Action Group’, in which she played an active role in making sure that local employer’s were involved in student-development.

DE4L was a strand of ‘Success Doncaster’ and had been developed by a consortium of seven organizations (partners). The programs main objective is to enable collaborations between schools and businesses. With a track record in supporting enterprise related learning across Doncaster, DE4L offered a planned and co-ordinated approach to Doncaster schools and businesses. Supporting them in understanding and implementing mainstream enterprise learning in schools and business objectives.

Throughout the DE4L project Charlotte has worked with over 11,000 students and 200 teachers.

Throughout the past 18 months Charlotte has also completed a number of accredited and non-accredited courses including, OCN Disability Equality Training, ILM Award in Leadership and Management, EDI Certificate in Management Principles, NVQ Level 3 in Management, NCFE Equality and Diversity and Key Skills in both Literacy and Numeracy. Charlotte is now currently studying for an NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration, a Radio Production Course, Community Leadership and First Aid as well as Key Skills in IT all of which are due to be completed within the first quarter of next year.

Charlotte Lister an ACS UK Ltd Employee said: “It is amazing to be become a finalist for the ‘Employee of the Year Award’, for a long time I have worked with local students, to try and help them improve business and enterprise skills in Doncaster schools and it’s always nice to be recognised. Even though the DE4L project ended in March I feel that work that we did made a large impact in the local education sector and the community as a whole. Throughout my volunteering work and my job as a Sales Account Manager I constantly try and improve myself by completing both accredited and non accredited courses. I feel that with each course I develop new skills that can help me and also my colleagues”.
