Chamber and DMBC Launch Major Infrastructure Campaign

Doncaster Chamber (on behalf of all South Yorkshire's Chambers of Commerce and Local Authorities) is running a major campaign to secure Government backing for a suite of infrastructure projects that could transform the regional economy.

The campaign is to secure Government funding, through the Regional Growth Fund, for a package of road projects including: the widening of White Rose Way, improvements to the M18 around Junction 3, and the Finningley and Rossington Regeneration Route Scheme (FARRRS) which will connect Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield with the M18 and provide greater access to the airport, thus supporting route and freight development activities.

The road will also open up the surrounding land for development and inward investment; this could potentially create thousands of jobs and will also facilitate the development of an Inland Port.

The Chamber, on behalf of a range of partners, is calling on local businesses to indicate their support for the schemes by completing a short survey.

This is with a view to presenting overwhelming private sector support for these schemes to Government as a demonstration of why they need to invest in the Sheffield City Region.
