Local Business Climb Through Adversity

Directors of LGL Electrical, Michelle and Lee Lazenby, will be trekking the Great Wall of China in October 2009 to raise thousands of pounds for a charity close their hearts, Action for Children.

Action for Children helps over 170,000 young children and their families across the UK, challenging injustice and empowering children to overcome obstacles in their lives that hold them back.  They work with children and young people who suffer from disability, who cannot live with their birth families, or are experiencing severe difficulty in their lives such as poverty or abuse.

LGL Electricals is a family run business with over 16 years experience in the electrical industry.  LGL Electricals are dedicated to the Green Campaign and endorse recyclable product use in their electrical installation services.  They also contribute greatly to worthy campaigns and charities on a regular basis.

For 6 days in October, Michelle and Lee Lazenby of LGL will continue their dedicated charity work and participate in the tiring and physically demanding event along the Great Wall of China.  Their target is to raise £5,500 for Action for Children and they appreciate all the support they can get for this extremely worthy cause.  The trek will include extreme climbing and require a great deal of physical endurance.

In addition to their challenge in China, Michelle and Lee have also organised a Race Night event at Sykehouse Village Hall, to take place on Friday19th June.  Tickets are £10 each and all proceeds will go to the charity.

“Action for Children is a charity that is very close to our hearts.  We are very proud to be supporting the amazing work that they do for children throughout the UK.  Please support our trek in China and sponsor this special cause,” said Michelle Lazenby, Company Director of LGL.
